Temporary Closure due to Coronavirus Restrictions 23/3/20
We and our local community are worried by reports of large numbers of visitors continuing to come to the area despite the government recommendations on non-essential travel and social spacing.
Although we would normally welcome visitors as the lifeblood of our local economy, in the present circumstances it is putting additional strain on our few and far between health services and food shops.
Yesterday Gwynedd council issued a request that visitors stay away or return home immediately, and that accommodation providers close their doors for the time being.
Like everyone else, we are struggling with decisions about the best way forward in these exceptional times. Closing our business will mean great financial hardship for us, but we cannot in conscience be part of the problem. If we as a community close for a while now we stand the best chance of saving lives, livelihoods and hopefully reopening in the summer.
As such, we will be closing Coed Cae B&B and the Showman’s Wagon from now until 1st May 2020. This closure will be reviewed regularly and may well need to be extended, based on any recommendations in force at the time.
We know many of you will be disappointed but we ask for your understanding and support. This isn’t going to be easy for any of us. We look forward to welcoming you back for wild Snowdonia escapes as soon as it’s safe.
If you have a booking within this period, you will be able to reschedule to a period later in the year or get a refund. We will get in touch over the next day or so to start the ball rolling. Please bear with us while we sort this out.
Graham & Jacky,
Coed Cae B&B
